THE WHITE TIGER

The white tiger is one of the most endangered animals in the world. There are only about 210 left and most of them are in captivity. It is very sad because the white tiger is a very beautiful animal and it’s different from other tigers.

These carnivorous mammals belong to the family of felines. Their fur is white with black stripes. Most of them have got blue eyes and they are strong, agile and fast.

They are usually lonely animals but sometimes they are in groups of three or four tigers. White tigers are a variation of the Bengal tigers. They eat from wild boar to buffalo.

Most people think that the white tiger is from Siberia, for its colour, but they have never been seen in this place. White tigers have only been seen in India, however now it’s very difficult to see one of them, because the few tigers that there are today, are in captivity.

White tigers are endangered because of the human trafficking of skins and bones. They are also endangered because of the human obsession to show white tigers to people and put them in captivity and due to the ecological predation.

To sum up, to try to save these animals, some centres should host them and then, after the tigers had been raised, they should release them in their natural surroundings and try to avoid their hunting because it would be a very important step for the planet.
